GODS Power, OUR Responsibility, and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS Some old issues are being promoted among our brethren They are presented as humble moves to rely on God s power They utilize concepts born out of denominationalism
GODS Power, OUR Responsibility, and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS 1. God Is All-Powerful All things are possible with God (Psa. 115:3; Jer. 32:17; Matt. 19:23-26). His power works in His people as they yield to His will (Eph. 3:14-21; 6:10-17). It is our responsibility to yield to Him (Jas. 4:4-10; Josh. 24:14-15).
GODS Power, OUR Responsibility, and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS 2. The Problem of Sin Why do we struggle? Man s answer Adam s fault, God s fault, Corrupted Nature, Incapable without help of HS. Bible answers (Jas. 1:12-18; Heb. 4:11-16; 1 Thess. 2:13; Rom. 1:16-17; Matt. 6:33).
GODS Power, OUR Responsibility, and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS 3. Seeking His Righteousness What does this mean? How do we do it? Man s answer Imputed Righteousness, Meritorious Salvation, Let go and let God! Bible answers (Ezek. 18:1-20 Neither the sin or righteousness of another can be imputed; Rom. 3:21-26; 1 John 2:28-3:7).
