12th Grade IB Options
Minimum Standards Please review the minimum standards document - you should have signed it last spring when we were going over pre-registration for this year. Failure to maintain minimum standards through this year will result in removal from the magnet and withdrawal from Hardaway if you are not in the HHS attendance zone. If you wish to still attend Hardaway whether as a Dual Enrollment, IB Course, or non-IB student next year, you must end this year in good standing to be granted an Open Seat Transfer (if you live outside the HHS attendance zone). Schedule/Status changes will not be granted after June 1 unless it is due to a scheduling error.
IB Course Student Elect to take one or more IB Diploma courses, but not the full program (IBDP or IBCP). Miss out on the benefits of completing the IB Core (TOK/PPS, CAS, EE/RP, LD) Miss out on earning the additional credential (IB Diploma or Career- related Certificate) Miss out on some of the resume builders available to DP and CP students which could impact college acceptance or scholarships It is better college preparation than not taking any challenging courses, and it could still translate to college credits at no cost to you.
Dual Enrollment IBCP Healthcare students need to meet with Ms. Osborn before May 6. Schedule an appointment ASAP! IBCP Computer Science students have an option at CSU for cybersecurity if you have already completed your pathway. Schedule a meeting with Ms. Osborn ASAP! While free college is very tempting, that is not the whole story Selective University Admissions Credit Transfer NOT Guaranteed Awards & Recognition Scholarship Opportunities Preparation for College demands Self-Development Dual Enrollment Info & Appointment Scheduling
Earning the Diploma Must earn a total of 24 points on 6 subject exams (out of 7 on each exam) Can earn up to 3 bonus points from TOK/EE combo Can NOT score a 2 or 1 on an HL exam Must pass EE, CAS, & TOK Assessments IF you are a DP Candidate, which 3 HL options will you take next year?

Senior Year Specifics Internal Assessments Due dates for final assessments are set in stone. External Assessments (seated exams) occur in May 2023. Hardaway will pay around $120 for each subject exam. If you do not submit an IA or do not show up for an exam, it is a failing condition for IB and you will have to reimburse the $120 for that exam. Students will need continued support to complete college applications, scholarship essays, SAT/ACT, IB requirements.
