Principal Parts of Irregular Verbs Unit 3 Week 2
Irregular Verbs Usually you add -ed to a verb to form the past and past participle. Irregular verbs do not follow this rule. Instead of having -ed forms to show past tense, these verbs usually change to other words. Examples: Present Present Participle: Past: Past participle Present: Sharon sings Present Participle: She is singing Past: They sang sang every weekend last month. Past participle: The group has sung sings in a group. is singing on Saturday. has sung together for five years.
