Matthew 7:1-2 Judging Others Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Matthew 7:6 NIV Application Commentary: 7:1-5: Judging Others Inappropriately 7:6: Evaluating Others Appropriately Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

Ask what? Seek what? The Beatitudes blessed are the poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, the merciful Salt and light Disciples called to a higher standard Unity between inside and outside Heavenly rewards over earthly rewards Trust God, seek first his kingdom and his righteousness
Ask what? Seek what? for comfort when we mourn to be filled with God s righteousness for opportunities to be salt and light for help to live up to a higher standard, to love our enemies, to align our inner and outer selves, to trust God for his provision Don t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. (Mt. 7:7, The Message)
Matthew 7:12 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Matthew 7:13-14 Don t look for shortcuts to God. The market is flooded with surefire, easygoing formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare time. Don t fall for that stuff, even though crowds of people do. The way to life to God! is vigorous and requires total attention.

Matthew 7:26-29, cont. burst into applause. They had never heard teaching like this. It was apparent that he was living everything he was saying quite a contrast to their religion teachers! This was the best teaching they had ever heard.
