Nature of Nature of Organisational Organisational Behaviour Behaviour A field of study and not discipline. Interdisciplinary approach. An applied science. Normative and Value Centered. Humanistic and Optimistic. Oriented towards organisational objective. Total system approach.
SOBC Model S- Situation / Stimulus (anything that directly influence the activities of individuals in an organisation). O- Organism (employees or employer). B-Behaviour (Anything a person does influenced by Stimulus in an organisation). C- Consequence (Outcome or result of behaviour) e.g. Incentive scheme introduced for salesmen makes them to achieve their target more efficiently.
S-O-B-C Model helps to understand, peredict and control organisational behaviouron the basis of managing the contingent (conditional) environment.
Scope of Organisation Behaviour O.B is the study of human behaviour at work in the organisation. Therefore the scope includes Study of Individuls Study of individuls in group Study of Organisation Structure
