UNDERSTANDING PEACE CHURCH GLOBAL John 14:27
What is a Church? The word Church comes from the Greek word Ecclesia which means to call out from. The Church is a body of people called out from the world to be in Christ (I Cor. 1:2). The word Church can refer to the Universal Church the body of Christ. It can also refer to a local group of believers (Col. 4:15). The five (5) purposes of the Universal Church (according to Rick Warren) are as follows (Matt. 22:37 40, 28:19 20, Acts 2:42 47): - Worship, Ministry, Evangelism, Fellowship, and Discipleship.
