This happened only two days before the Passover. Sacrifice should have been on the minds of ALL these men! Exodus 12: 21 27 The minds of the chief priests and scribes were on murdering Jesus! We do not know her name but wherever this GOSPEL is preached, they will know her deed! a. Her deed caused indignation in the hearts of the apostles! b. Their hearts will filled with greed! c. Where was THEIR sacrifice?
We dont know if this is the same incident as recorded in Luke 7: 36 50 1. Sacrifice was made here! 2. What Simon thought in his heart about the woman was also true of himself! 3. Who appreciates forgiveness most? 4. Simon you gave Me no water for My feet you gave Me no kiss you did not anoint My head She has done ALL this and more! So, her sins, though many, are forgiven! SHE LOVED ME MUCH!!! And Jesus proved it!
Because Jesus a. Died for us 1 Corinthians 11:23 - 26 b. Washed us from sin 1 Corinthians 6: 9 - 11 c. Ceases not to bestow blessings Ephesians 1:3 d. Ceases not to anoint us 1 John 2: 26 29 And most He never ceases loving us!
