  1. SEEDING METHOD There is a always a possibility in a knock out tournament that strong teams may be paired with weak teams or all strong teams might have been grouped in the upper half or the lower half . In this way, some strong teams have the possibility to be eliminated in the preliminary round. So this may be setback to the strong teams.

  2. Continue To avoid such a situation, seeding method is used. In this method, the strong teams are selected to keep them at appropriate place in the fixture. Generally , the number of seeded teams shall be in the power of two, i.e.,2,4,8,16, etc. All the teams except the seeded teams are kept in the fixture by lots.

  3. Continue.. In special seeded the seeded players participate directly in the quarter final or semi final. Types of Seeding 1) General seeding 2) Special seeding
