3 2025/06/01 OVERALL AIM AND SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT The NSDP addresses problems and opportunities in the skills landscape that were identified in a number of processes, they include the need to outline the clearer mandate and role for SETAs for the longer term, the need of better alignment of funding, planning and monitoring mechanisms, and the reduction of multiple accountabilities The overall objective of this project will be to align the strategic planning of all TVETS skills plan with those of the Funding SETAs and to further determine the overall impact the SETA funding in the last medium term revenue and expenditure framework. The project will also assess the skills base that the SETA has contributed to all colleges and the impact thereof

10 2025/06/01 Presentation to Academic Prasc Huawei Partnership: Huawei ICT Academy is a non-profit partnership program that authorizes colleges to deliver Huawei Certification courses to their students. This program acts as a bridge between enterprises and academy to build a talent ecosystem for the ICT industry. The programme was presented in the last NGC and since then we had a lot of Colleges taking up the partnership. The HUAWEI Team will give a comprehensive report. The minister and the Department has endorsed this programme and want all colleges to take it up. SACPO is implementing this project at no cost to the organisation but to solely benefit its members.
11 2025/06/01 NHBRC This partnership has been going on for two years and to date More than 16 colleges benefitting, This programme benefited over 2000 beneficiaries. The learners were trained on Bricklaying, Plumbing, Electrical, Construction management, plastering, etc Colleges who benefitted include, Capricorn, Sekhukhune, Tshwane North, EWC, Majuba, Goldfields, Elangeni, Umfolozi, Ethekwini, Northern Cape Urban, Ehlanzeni, Nkangala, Gert Sibande, SWGC, College of Cape Town, Orbit. Some of the Colleges are yet to implement as they have received their IPW Some Colleges are still waiting for their accreditation to be approved before the can implement
12 2025/06/01 ETDP SETA . SACPO signed an MOU with EDTP for implementation of the short SCM skills programme. The purpose of this SCM Capacity Building & Intervention Training Programme is to revitalize the knowledge and skills base of incumbents. The programme is based to be effective enough to benefit those who have had basic and limited employment experience and those who will be entering the workplace for the first time. Senior Managers will be empowered with legislative straightforwardness to function confidently, efficiently and effectively in their everyday environment, especially within varied SCM workplace burden To date more than 50 people people from different colleges have been trained
13 2025/06/01 MICT SETA KZN: ICT TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR YOUTH OF KWAZULU NATAL The South African College Principals Organisation (SACPO) has secured funding for all KwaZulu Natal (KZN) TVET Colleges from MICT SETA. SACPO is working with an Academy in KZN for project managing the implementation of training. The aim of the programme is: A demand-led skills development approach which would do a lot to reduce youth unemployment The proposed program is aimed at building a solid foundation for a future ICT economy as a consequence, enhance create job opportunities The beneficiaries of the project will be to target young people from disadvantaged communities around KZN. We are engaging MICT national to assist in rolling out this programme to other Provinces
14 2025/06/01 FoodBev The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding is to collaborate with SACPO in support of TVET Colleges to be responsive to the FoodBev sector and national priorities. Recognizing the above, the FOODBEV SETA will collaborate with SACPO in various development programmes. Conduct a planning workshop between SACPO, TVET Colleges and FOODBEV SETA Develop Action plan to support Indlela and colleges on World Skills Competitions Conduct research on the Chinese partnership: Outcome and Impact Assessments Manage partnership on grant disbursement
15 2025/06/01 WR SETA SACPO recently signed an MOU with WRSETA, the objective of the MOA is to To allow the Parties to plan collaborative research, educational, and training activities of mutual interest. Where appropriate and as mutually agreed upon, to jointly seek sources of external support to fund these planned collaborative efforts. To share specialized best practices for skills planning and research. To support services or interventions targeted at improving quality of data and more cost effective research as per sector priorities agreed by both parties.
16 2025/06/01 Chinese Culture SACPO signed an MOA with the Chinese Culture on the following collaborative work To allow the Parties to plan collaborative ICT, e-commerce entrepreneurship and lecturer training activities of mutual interest. Where appropriate and as mutually agreed upon, to jointly seek sources of external support to fund these planned collaborative efforts. To share specialized best practices for ICT, e-commerce entrepreneurship and lecturer training activities. To support services or interventions targeted at improving quality of lecturer and student training and development.
