  1. Subjuntivo con E AUT NTICO 3 CAP TULO 4

  2. El subjuntivo con verbos de emocin As we already know, we use the subjunctive in two clause sentences after verbs indicating: Wish, want, will or we quest. The subjunctive is also used in two clause sentences after verbs and impersonal expressions that indicate emotion such as:

  4. El subjuntivo con verbos de emocin REMEMBER THAT a sentence in the subjunctive mode has 2 clauses. The main (1st) clause and the subordinate (2nd) clause. The two clauses are separated by the word que. Ejemplo: Nosotros tememos QUE nuestros amigos desconf en de nuestras palabras. We fear (reg present tense) THAT our friends mistrust (present subjunctive) our words.

  5. El subjuntivo con verbos de emocin Remember that a sentence in the subjunctive has 2 clauses. These two clauses are separated by the word QUE. However, when the sentence only has one clause, we usually use the infinitive INSTEAD OF the subjunctive. Ejemplos: Siento pasar m s tiempo con mis amigas. I feel like spending more time with my friends. (infinitive) VS Siento QUE ellas no pasen m s tiempo conmigo. I feel that they won t spend more time with me. (subjunctive)

  7. Subjuntivo con E Paquete de subjuntivo

  8. Paquete de subjuntivo - E When a verb that expresses emotion is used with a change of subject. The subjunctive will be used in the 2nd clause. This is because the emotion is factual (indicative), while the second part of the sentence is not factual (subjunctive); but rather it is a supposition.

  9. Paquete de subjuntivo - E Examples of sentences using E Me sorprende que aguantes tanto. = It surprises me that you put up with so much. Mi hermana teme que sus hijos no respiren bien. = My sister fears that her kids aren t breathing well.

  10. Paquete de subjuntivo - E It does not matter whether or not the information is true, if there is a change of subject, you must use the subjunctive. 11. Paquete de subjuntivo - E Rules for no Change of subject (COS) However, If there is no change of subject, the indicative should be used in the second clause of the sentence, as it could be considered factual.
