  4. -ly is a suffix, which has been added to each word at the end.

  5. WHAT IS A SUFFIX? A suffix is a group of letters that is added at the end of a word to change its meaning. Example: warm + ly = warmly suffix adverb adjective

  6. OTHER SUFFIXES -FUL helpful hopeful cheerful careful useful wonderful -ED helped hoped cheered cared used wondered -ING helping hoping cheering caring using wondering

  7. HELP HELPFUL HELPED - HELPING We should help others. The child is very helpful. The child helped her parents in cooking food. The child is helping her friend in studies.

  8. USE USEFUL USED - USING I use my watch to count my daily steps. A watch is a useful machine. A watch is used to show time. I have been using this watch for five years.
