Introduction The Quran and Sunnah are the foundation of Islam.Their importance can not be overemphasized.The Sunnah is next in importance to the Quran and this status has remained unchallanged and undisputed throughout centuries.So a proper understanding of Sunnah is must to understand its authority. There are two types of Revelation : 1: Recited 2: Unrecited
Introduction...... . : Sunnah is among the unrecited revelation from Allah swt. Preservation of Sunnah is a proof of it.Allah swt preserved not only Quran but the Sunnah of Holy Prophet pbuh by enabling the companions and those after them to memorize and write down and pass on the statement of Messanger of Allah and the description of his ways to continue the blessings of practicing the Sunnah until the end of time.
Introduction ....... And when the purity of the Sunnah was threatened,Allah produced the outstanding individuals of incrediable memory skills and analytical expertise to preserve this part of Deen .And through their tireless efforts they collected hundreds of narrations and distinguished the true words of precious wisdom and divine guidance from corrupted and weak narrations. And this was achieved through the precise attention to the words narrated and detailed familarity with the biographies of the thousands of reporters of Hadith. So through a very through way these narrations were collected.

Sunnah and Hadith Meaning of the word Sunnah and Hadith Sunnah The lexical definition the word Sunnah is : A way, manner ,a path ,a conduct good/bad Word Sunnah in Quran and Hadith
The word Sunnah in Quran That was the way of Allah in case of those who passed away and you will not find any change in the Way of Allah. . 62 . Whoever institutes a good practice in Islam will have its reward and the reward of whoever acts upon it without diminishing their rewards in the slightest. Whoever institutes an evil practice in Islam will have its sin and the sin of those who act upon it without diminishing their sins in the slightest.
Sunnah in contexual meaning Technical meaning of Sunnah. The word Sunnah has different definitions and it depends on the context in which it is being used: Fiqhi Perspective: In context of Fiqh ,Sunnah means an act which is firmly established on the basis of a legal proof.Like Sunnah to use miswak before Wudhu. Usool Perspective: Sunnah is used as what the doer gets as a a reward for doing it but not a punishment for avoiding it, means an obligatory act. Hadith Perspective: Any Saying (qawl),action (f il),approval (taqrir) or attribut( sifa),whether physical (Khilqiyya),or moral(khuluqiyah) ascribed to Prophet pbuh ,Whether before or after the beginning of Prophethood.

Hadith Linguistically New, latest,something done for the first time,news Technically Any report of Prophet Muhammad pbuh saying,action,approval,manners and physical characteristics.It is a physical method in which Sunnah is preserved. Hadith as a discipline: While Hadith as a discipline consisit of two branches: Isnad,singular sanad Matn Sand deals with the validation of the individuals,it is a process of biography examination of the transmitters back to the Prophet Muhammad pbuh. Whereas Matn deals with the actual content of the validated tradition as a source of religious authority.
Hadith: Examples The following hadith Reported by Al-Bukhari as an example Musadad told us that Yahya informed him from Shu ba,from Qatadah from Anas R.A from the Prophet pbuh that he said: None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he love for himself AlBukhari Musadad Yahya Shu ba Qatadah Anas Prophet Muhammad pbuh This is the chain of the narrators that leads to the text ,starting with the last narrator who recorded this hadith in his book and ending with Prophet pbuh.
