Umar ibn Khattab (Allah be well pleased with him) said: As we were sitting one day before the Messenger of Allah a man suddenly appeared. He wore pure white clothes and his hair was dark black yet there were no signs of travel on him, and none of us knew him. , He came and sat down in front of the Prophet said, O Muhammad! Tell me about Islam. The Messenger of Allah replied, Islam is to bear witness that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God; and to perform the prayer; pay zakat; fast Ramadan; and to perform Hajj to the House if you are able. The man said,You have spoken the truth, and we were surprised that he asked and then confirmed the answer. Then, he asked, Tell me about belief (iman). The Prophet replied, It is to believe in Allah; His Angels; His Books; His Messengers; the Last Day; and in destiny its good and bad. The man said, You have spoken the truth. Now, tell me about spiritual excellence (ihsan). The Prophet replied, It is to serve Allah as though you behold Him; and if you don't behold him, (know that) He surely sees you. Now, tell me of the Last Hour, asked the man. The Prophet replied, The one asked knows no more of it than the one asking. Then tell me about its signs, said the man. The Prophet replied, That slave women give birth to their mistresses; and that you see poor, naked, barefoot shepherds of sheep and goats competing in making tall buildings . placing his knees against his, and his hands on his thighs. He Then the visitor left, and I waited a long time. Then the Prophet ( asked me, Do you know, Umar , who the questioner was? I replied, Allah and His Messenger know best. 3 levels of faith There are three levels of faith a person can attain. The first level is Islam. The second level is Eeman. Final is Ihsan, which is the highest of the three levels of faith and the closest to Allah . are the details given about individual levels of faith Below
ISLAM 1 SHAHADAH (TESTIMONY OR WITNESS OR CREED) The Shahadah is an Arabic word which means to give witness or to testify in the oneness of Allah and His last Messenger who was sent for the entire mankind. It is the basic creed of Islam that must be recited under oath with the specific statement. This testament is a foundation for all other beliefs and practices in Islam. The testimony or the creed (Shahadah or Shahadatan) consists of two parts i.e., Kalima-E-Tawheed (Allah s Oneness) and Kalima-E-Risalat (Prophet Muhammad s Messengerhood).
The Belief in the Oneness and Uniqueness of Allah (Tawheed in Arabic) does not only mean to accept that there is no Creator but Allah, and that Allah is the Sovereign Rabb(Lord). But believing Allah by Muhammad s (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) way is also very important for every Muslim who wants to enter Heaven. Therefore, if a person was to say only one part of this declaration or not acknowledge or have belief in either part- then their belief is incomplete and is not incompliance with Islamic creed (Aqeedah). Therefore as a Muslim we should always Pray to Allah (Glory be to Him) "O believers, observe your duty to Allah with right observance, and die not except as Muslims [complete state of surrender, submission, obedience to Allah]" Qur an.Surah Ale-Imran 3: 102 [3]
SALAH THE SECOND PILLAR OF ISLAM Salah is the second of the 5 Pillars of Islam. In Islam, Salah is a compulsory act, must be performed five times a day. Salah is intended to focus the mind on Allah(Glory be to Him), and is seen as a personal communication with him that expresses gratitude and worship. Salah is a compulsory act. Salah is among the greatest foundations of Islam, the highest among the actions of Eeman, the shortest way to Allah. The prayers are recited in the Arabic language, and consist of ayah from the Qur'an. It is the sought after shelter of the repentant, the safe place for the frightened, the best asset of the hard-working and tranquility for the worshippers hearts.
Eight meanings of Salah 1. Next after the first i.e., Second in position used by Arab poets with this meaning. 2. Darood E Ibraheem ( Sahih Al bhukari vol 6:320 - 322) 3. Invocation (Qur an 9:103) 4. To make something enter to in a fire of blazing flame ( Qur an 111:3) 5. Allah s special blessing (Qur an 33:56) 6. Monastries (Qur an 22:40) 7. Highly honoured praise and seeking Allah to confer His special blessings (Qur an 33:56) 8. Movement of Gastro-Solius i.e., action or motion of the lower part of the body. 9. Ibadat and Salah as taught by Prophet Muhammad ( ) ))
ZAKATH IN ISLAM Zakah is an obligatory form of "charity" expected from every Muslim individual. This form of "charity" is an act of worship. Zakah is one the five pillars or fundamentals of Islam. The remaining pillars are the Shahadah (profession of faith), performing daily Salat (prayers), fasting and pilgrimage to Makkah. Zakah is considered an important economic tool in an Islamic State or society. It provides a religiously approved method of managing the economy and finance. Zakah has also been scrupulously prescribed in the Glorious Qur'an in many aayaath of the Qur'an and Ahadeeth.
Condition for Zakath to become obligatory Two things are necessary conditions for Zakath i.e., amount of wealth and the time duration as mentioned in Islam. Every Muslim who owns a fixed, minimum amount of wealth (called Nisab), and who satisfies certain other conditions, must pay Zakath. Types of Possessions That Require Paying the Zakath in general The Nisab amount for gold is twenty Mithqals, or ~85 grams. The Nisab for silver is one hundred and forty Mithqals, or ~595 grams. If the amount of gold and silver jewelry that a woman owns is less than these amounts, there is no Zakath due upon her jewellery. Gold The amount of gold that requires Zakath is around 85 grams, when this amount or more has remained unchanged in one's possession for one full year. The required Zakath in this case is one-fourth of a tenth (2.5%), which is approximately 2.125 grams. Silver Silver requires Zakath to be paid when it reaches 595 grams or more and when this amount remains unchanged in one's possession for a full year. The amount of Zakath required in this case is also one-fourth of a tenth (2.5%), which is approximately 14.87 grams. Cash at One's Disposal When it is worth the amount of gold that requires Zakath and when this amount remains above the Nisab value for a full year. Zakath in this case is also one-fourth of a tenth, or 2.5%. Types of Possessions Types of Possessions that require zakath other then gold, silver and money are Women's Jewelry that is made of Gold or Silver and is Used for Beautification Purposes. Livestock Animals: Camels, Cows, and Sheep. Food Grains and Fruit and few other things.
FASTING Allaah has blessed His slaves by assigning for them certain seasons of goodness in which hasanaat (rewards for good deeds) are multiplied, sayyi`aat (bad deeds) are forgiven, people s statuses are raised and the hearts of believers turn to their Master. Those who purify themselves attain success and those who corrupt themselves fail. Allaah has created His slaves to worship Him. One of the greatest acts of worship is fasting, which Allaah has made obligatory on His slaves.
HAJJ A Pillar of Islam Hajj means a specific journey to Makkah during the designated month of DhulHijjah, for the performance of Pilgrimage as an act of worship to Allah (Glory be to Him) alone. Islam means Muslims submitting their will to the will of Allah (Glory be to Him). And by Hajj, Muslims are doing the same. A Muslim performing Hajj is in total obedience to Allah (Glory be to Him) through physical and financial involvement. Hajj is a submission to Allah s commands and laws. Hajj symbolizes Tawheed (Islamic Monotheism). Hajj also symbolizes unity. He/she who performs Hajj his/her sins will be washed out.

(These believers who have bargained with Allah for the Hereafter are those) who turn to Allah in repentance, and who worship, praise and glorify (Allah), and fast, abstaining from the worldly lusts, and bow down before Him (most humbly and submissively), and who prostrate themselves before Him (seeking His nearness), command good and forbid evil, and guard the limits (set) by Allah. And give glad tidings to these believers. ( ( ) ( . 112 ) ) ( ( o
