RANSOM A ransom or redemption price is what it takes to set a captive free
Matthew 20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
1 Timothy 2:5-6 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,
WHY did Jesus have to give His life as a ransom? HOW did He do this?

Adam & Eve committed high treason
satan had a legal hold over the entire human race
One man sold the human race into bondage to satan. Therefore it would take one man to redeem the human race from bondage to satan.
COMPLEX PROBLEM The Requirements: SINLESS ABOVE SATAN PAY THE PRICE OF BLOOD AND DEATH
WHO COULD THIS PERSON BE? WHERE WOULD SUCH A PERSON COME FROM?
No Other Redemption Price Psalm 49:6-8 6 Those who trust in their wealth And boast in the multitude of their riches, 7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, Nor give to God a ransom for him 8 For the redemption of their souls is costly, And it shall cease forever
No Other Redemption Price Mark 8:37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
ONLY ONE SOLUTION
This God who became Man is JESUS CHRIST
On the CROSS where He was crucified this Sinless Man, this Man who was above satan became our RANSOM. He became our redemption price.
BUT WHY WOULD HE EVEN DO SUCH A THING?
BECAUSE OF LOVE Christ's death on the Cross was a display of the immeasurable love that God has for us - for each of us - FOR YOU
On the Cross SINS PAID CURSE REMOVED SATAN DEFEATED
The Blood the redemption price Hebrews 9:12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
The Blood the redemption price 1 Peter 1:18-19 18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
Set Free! Colossians 1:13-14 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Bought! Purchased! Gods Property! 1 Corinthians 6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
Free to be His! Titus 2:14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
