Tigran Ayvazyan. North Sentinel Island The death of an American tourist who illegally visited the isolated North Sentinel Island had drawn the world s attention to the small island s reclusive inhabitants. They re one of the few mostly uncontacted groups left in the world, and they owe that isolation partly to geography North Sentinel is a small island, off the main shipping routes, surrounded by a shallow reef with no natural harbors partly to protective laws enforced by the Indian government, and partly to their own fierce defense of their home and their privacy. But they re not entirely uncontacted; over the last 200 years, outsiders have visited the island several times, and it often ended badly for both sides.
Nane Momchyan. Bermuda Triangle In confirmation, we will cite a mysterious episode that occurred back in 1840, long before the first publications on this topic. Then the vessel Rosalia was discovered near the Bahamas. There were supplies of drinking water and provisions on the ship, the ship s cargo remained intact, the boats were in place. That s just the crew of the Rosalia mysteriously disappeared. Of the living creatures on board the ship, only the canary remained.

Anahit Mkrtchyan. The Island of the Dolls The story of La Isla de las Mu ecas ( The Island of the Dolls ) is intimately entwined with the story of Don Julian Santana Barrera. A native of Xochimilco, a borough of Mexico City, Don Julian left his wife and family sometime in the mid-20th century to sequester himself on an island on Teshuilo Lake. His reasons for doing so are hazy at best, but as soon became clear, Santana Barrera was not necessarily of sound mind. Not long after relocating, he made a chilling discovery on the shores of his island: the body of a young girl, drowned in the lake. A doll came floating down the canals shortly afterward, changing the course of Santana Barrera s life and the shape of the island for years to come.
