Why these OAPD days Because Every Institute in this globe do it Every INAF structure do it We had several new staff We are going to have some new staff The world (astronomical as well) is changed It is a nice thing to do It is important that everyone have the opportunity to know what her/his collegues is doing Astronomico di Padova INAF Osservatorio
Format HIC Highly Independent Committee Andrea Grazian Alvio Renzini Valentina Viotto Astronomico di Padova INAF Osservatorio 10 talks possibly mixing the various fields to avoid segregation ~9..45 to ~17..45 in two days Making others knowing of your work also in view of possible collaborations

It is an experiment Apparently the only previous example in this place dates back to 1989 (30 years ago) Our beloved friends of DFA are very welcome and we are looking forward for a next edition all together (yes I tried this but there are a few difficulties ) Format/language/schedule, are all experimental and we should learn from all the mistakes I am doing Astronomico di Padova INAF Osservatorio
