Launches Sept. 1, 2021 Runs until Dec. 31, 2021 Requirements apply to: UCalgary Main Campus Foothills Campus Downtown Campus Spy Hill Campus City Building Design Lab Requirements also apply to UCalgary activities held off campus, such as: Events Field schools Off-site research UCalgary services

Rapid Testing and Vaccine Status Program All students, faculty and staff must enrol in the Rapid Testing and Vaccine Status program You must indicate if you intend to attend in-person activities or come onto campus You must complete a vaccination attestation Those not fully vaccinated, or who do not disclose their vaccine status, must complete regular rapid testing

  5. Rapid Testing Rapid testing will be at-home, rapid antigen tests Tests are non-invasive nasal swabs inserted 2 cm into the nose Participants will need to complete twice-weekly at-home test kits Tests must be least 72 hours apart You need to take the test, photograph result and upload it to the web portal Participants must have a negative test 3.5 days prior to in-person activities

  6. Rapid Test Kit Pick-up Book appointment online to pick up kit Kits can be picked up in person at one of three locations: Main campus Foothills campus Spy Hill campus Must show your QR code from your appointment confirmation We will be tracking compliance

  7. Vaccination Status Students, faculty and staff who are fully vaccinated are exempt from rapid testing ONLY if they complete the vaccination attestation online Fully vaccinated means Health Canada-approved vaccine: 14 days following a second dose or 14 days following a single-dose vaccine Health Canada-approved vaccines include: AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) Moderna Pfizer-BioNTech

Vaccination Status Vaccination attestation is voluntary Do not have to show proof of vaccination at this point Likely will need to show proof in future Confirm online if you are vaccinated Can say yes, no or prefer not to disclose Everyone must answer the question There are consequences if someone lies on the attestation There will be audits of the program to determine non-compliance and individuals may be asked to show proof of vaccination status as part of the audit process

Online platform can be accessed from ucalgary.ca/covidsafe-campus Platform is hosted by Thrive Health and goes live Sept. 1 All UCalgary students, faculty and staff will have to visit the site by midnight on Sept. 14 They can choose to provide vaccination status If not fully vaccinated or choose not to disclose vaccine status, then they will be automatically enrolled in the rapid testing program Rapid testing program will only be for those unvaccinated, not fully vaccinated, who choose not to disclose their vaccine status

  10. Non-compliance Non-compliance with COVIDSafe Campus regulations includes: not masking when required providing a false vaccine status attestation failure to comply with rapid testing if required Non-compliance is considered serious misconduct under the university s Code of Conduct and the Student Non-Academic Misconduct Policy, and those found not in compliance may be subject to discipline and removal from campus.

  11. All students, faculty and staff MUST participate in COVIDSafe Campus Starting on Sept. 1, you MUST login to the COVIDSafe Campus app hosted by Thrive Health: Log in Identify if you are going to be on campus or attend in-person activities in 2021 Declare vaccination status If instructed enrol in rapid testing, book an online appointment, pick up tests, and upload results Everyone must have completed these steps by midnight on Sept. 14, 2021, to be permitted on campus. Masking is also mandatory in all buildings except when you can be 2 metres apart from others. Failure to comply will lead to disciplinary action and removal from campus.
