Background Attainment Scotland Fund Focus improvements in literacy, numeracy and health and wellbeing. on primary schools to target Schools selected proportionately according to level of challenges faced.
Glasgows Improvement Challenge Glasgow s Improvement Challenge Unlocking Learning Schools have been working in clusters. Lorne Street Primary is working alongside Glendale Primary, Ibrox Primary, Riverside Primary and Pirie Park Primary. Main focus - Literacy: phonological Awareness skills - Primary 2 (38 children)

Glasgows Improvement Challenge Key Priorities Unlocking Learning Support children to develop their phonological awareness skills in order to access learning and progress with their phonics and reading. How? - Programme of support. Working in small groups with Miss Clark. - Access to resources: books, games, activities. - Visits & Trips: Visitors and Trips linked to literacy skills and the enjoyment of reading stories.
Glasgows Improvement Challenge Key Priorities Unlocking Learning Support families to be better able to support their children s learning and development How? - Access to resources: books, games, activities. - Visits & Trips: Author visit. Parent Helpers - Parent classes: developing confidence with literacy skills supporting your child at school.
