GOD INITIATES THE ENCOUNTER Exodus 2 11One day after Moses had become an adult, he went out among his people and he saw their forced labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people.12He looked around to make sure no one else was there. Then he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. 13When Moses went out the next day, he saw two Hebrew men fighting with each other. Moses said to the one who had started the fight, Why are you abusing your fellow Hebrew? 14He replied, Who made you a boss or judge over us? Are you planning to kill me like you killed the Egyptian? Then Moses was afraid when he realized: They obviously know what I did.15When Pharaoh heard about it, he tried to kill Moses. But Moses ran away from Pharaoh and settled down in the land of Midian. ALLAH MEMULAKAN PERTEMUAN Keluaran 2 11Pada suatu hari, apabila Musa sudah besar, dia keluar untuk bersama-sama para saudara sebangsanya dan melihat bagaimana mereka menanggung beban sebagai buruh paksa. Dia melihat bagaimana seorang warga Mesir memukuli seorang Ibrani, iaitu orang sebangsanya.12Setelah menoleh ke sana ke mari, dia mendapati tiada seorang pun di situ, lalu dia membunuh orang Mesir itu dan kemudian menyembunyikan mayat orang itu di dalam pasir.13Ketika dia keluar lagi keesokan harinya, dia melihat dua orang Ibrani sedang berkelahi. Bertanyalah dia kepada orang yang bersalah, "Mengapakah kamu memukul rakan sebangsa denganmu?"14Jawab orang itu, "Siapa yang menjadikan kamu pemerintah dan hakim kami? ALLAH MEMULAKAN PERTEMUAN Keluaran 3 1 Sewaktu itu Musa menggembala kawanan ternakan domba kepunyaan ayah mertuanya, Yitro, imam di Midian dan dia menggiring ternakan itu ke daerah paling hujung di gurun lalu ke gunung Allah, iaitu Horeb. GODS ENCOUNTER / GOD ENCOUNTERS MAN Exodus 3 THEOPHANY GOD APPEARS / ATTRACTS MAN TO MEET HIM 2And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush Exodus 3 2 So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.3Then Moses said, I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn. THEOPHANY MAN RESPONDS

ALLAH BERTEMU DENGAN MANUSIA TEOFANI TUHAN MENAMPILKAN / MENARIK MANUSIA UNTUK MENEMUINYA Keluaran 3 2 Lalu malaikat Tuhan menampakkan diri kepadanya dalam api bernyala di tengah-tengah sebuah belukar. Keluaran 3 TEOFANI MANUSIA MEMBALAS 2 Maka Musa melihat api menyala-nyala di tengah belukar itu walhal api itu tidak memakan pun belukar itu.

THEOPHANY A theophany (thee AH' fuh nee) is a physical appearance of God to a human being Several theophanies are described in the Old Testament, but all had one thing in common. No one saw God's actual face. Even Moses, the dominant figure of the Old Testament, did not receive that privilege. Although the Bible lists several instances of Jacob and Moses speaking to the Lord "face to face," that must have been a figure of speech for a personal conversation, because God specifically told Moses: ...you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live. (Exodus 33:20, NIV) To avoid such fatal encounters, God appeared as a man, angel, burning bush, and a pillar of cloud or fire

TEOFANI Teofani (thee AH' fuh nee) ialah penampilan fizikal Tuhan kepada manusia Beberapa teofani diterangkan dalam Perjanjian Lama, tetapi semuanya mempunyai satu persamaan. Tiada siapa yang melihat wajah Tuhan yang sebenarnya. Malah Musa, tokoh dominan Perjanjian Lama, tidak menerima keistimewaan itu. Walaupun Bible menyenaraikan beberapa contoh Yakub dan Musa bercakap kepada Tuhan "bersemuka", itu pastinya merupakan kiasan untuk perbualan peribadi, kerana Tuhan secara khusus memberitahu Musa: "... kamu tidak boleh melihat wajah saya, kerana tiada siapa yang boleh melihat saya dan hidup." 3 KINDS OF THEOPHANY (1) Appearance in nonhuman form God appeared in a burning bush, as a pillar of cloud by day, and as a pillar of fire by night. Exodus 3:1-7 God appeared as a "whisper" to Elijah and in visions to other prophets. 1 Kings 19:12 The Lord appeared to King Solomon in a dream, promising to grant what he asked. 1 Kings 3:5-28

3 JENIS TEOFANI (1) Penampilan dalam bentuk bukan manusia Tuhan menampakkan diri dalam semak yang menyala, seperti tiang awan pada siang hari, dan sebagai tiang api pada waktu malam. Keluaran 3:1-7 Tuhan muncul sebagai "bisikan" kepada Elia dan dalam penglihatan kepada nabi-nabi lain. 1 Kings 19:12 Tuhan menampakkan diri kepada Raja Salomo dalam mimpi, berjanji untuk memberikan apa yang dia minta. 1 Raja-Raja 3:5-28

3 KINDS OF THEOPHANY (2) Appearance as a man The most famous revelation of God in the form of a man happened at Peniel ("face of God"), where Jacob wrestled with a man all night. The wrestling was real but also symbolized Jacob's struggles with men and God. Gen.32:22-32 Moses spoke with God "face to face" on Mount Horeb Exodus 33:11 Moses could not see the Lord's face Exodus 33:22 but Jesus revealed that "God is spirit," (John 4:24, NIV), so any human manifestation of God is not his true form.

3 JENIS TEOFANI (2) Penampilan sebagai seorang manusia Wahyu Tuhan yang paling terkenal dalam bentuk seorang lelaki berlaku di Peniel ("wajah Tuhan"), di mana Yakub bergelut dengan seorang lelaki sepanjang malam. Gusti itu nyata tetapi juga melambangkan perjuangan Yakub dengan manusia dan Tuhan. 3 KINDS OF THEOPHANY (3) Appearance as an angel The angel of the Lord appears to Abraham and refers to himself as God in the first person. Genesis 22:11 15 The angel of the Lord appears to Moses in a flame in verse 2, and God speaks to Moses from the flame in verse 4, both instances referring to himself in the first person. Exodus 3:2 4. By far the most common revelations of God were as "the angel of the Lord." The term occurs over 60 times in Scriptures. Some Bible commentators think those Old Testament manifestations were actually Chistophanies, or pre-incarnate appearances of Jesus Christ, but that is not spelled out in any of those incidents. The "angel of the Lord" is unique from other angels and is linked to Yahweh himself.

ALLAH MEMPERKENALKAN PANGGILAN / AGENDANYA / TUJUANNYA 1 Keluaran 3 ALLAH MENEGUR UNTUK KESUCIAN 5 Allah berfirman, "Jangan datang lebih dekat. Tanggalkan kasutmu dari kakimu kerana tempat kamu berdiri itu tanah suci." ALLAH MEMPERKENALKAN DIRINYA SEBELUM MEMBERI PANGGILAN Keluaran 3 6 Firman-Nya lagi, "Akulah Allah ayahmu, juga Allah Abraham, Allah Ishak, dan Allah Yakub." Lalu Musa menutup mukanya, kerana dia takut memandang Allah.

Jonah 1:3 BY GOING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION 3But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord

CONTOH HAMBA YANG TIDAK BERSERAH 1 Yunus 1:2 Bangunlah, pergilah ke Niniwe, ibu kota yang besar itu, dan berserulah terhadap mereka kerana kemungkaran mereka sudah nyata kepada-Ku. YONAH MENOLAK PANGGILAN ALLAH PERTAMA KALI Yunus 1:3 Akan tetapi, Yunus melarikan diri ke Tarsis, jauh dari hadirat Tuhan. Maka, pergilah dia ke Yope, dan setelah menemui sebuah kapal, dia membayar tambangnya, dan belayar dengan orang lain ke Tarsis, jauh dari hadirat Tuhan. DENGAN MENUJU ARAH BERLAWAN

Jonah 3:3 3 So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city,[a]a three-day journey in extent.4And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day s walk. Then he cried out and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown! JONAH OBEYS GOD S CALL EXECUTION

TUHAN PELUANG KEDUA PELUANG KEDUA UNTUK JONAH 1 Yunus 3:2 YONAH PATUH PANGGILAN ALLAH KALI KEDUA "Bangkitlah dan pergilah ke Niniwe, kota yang besar itu, dan sampaikanlah kepada penduduknya perisytiharan yang Aku firmankan kepadamu." Yunus 3:3 Bersegeralah Yunus pergi ke Niniwe mematuhi firman Tuhan. TUHAN PELUANG KEDUA PELUANG KEDUA UNTUK JONAH 2 Yunus 3:5 MANDAT ALLAH TERCAPAI - UMAT ALLAH BERTAUBAT Orang Niniwe percaya kepada Allah lalu mereka mengumumkan puasa, dan kesemua warganya daripada yang terbesar sampai yang terkecil memakai pakaian berkabung. (Puasa dititahkan oleh raja 3:6-9) ALLAH BERTAUBAH UNTUK TIDAK MENGHAKIM TETAPI MEMBERKATI MEREKA Yunus 3:10 Apabila Allah melihat perbuatan mereka, dan pertaubatan mereka daripada kemungkaran, maka Dia berlembut dan tidak mendatangkan malapetaka seperti yang dirancangkan-Nya terhadap mereka.
