  1. Updated data of IDP from Benishangul Gumuz Region and borders residing in West Wollega and East Wollega November 03 /2018

Background Oromo and Benishangul Gumuz ethnics have living together for many centuries sharing same value, culture, languages and other social practices in common However, following the recent border conflict about 181,185 Oromo peoples with 31,946 HHs were displaced from woredas of East and West Wollega zones Five woredas from East Wollega and Nine woredas from West Wollega zone were affected with this border displacement There are about 55 IDP sites in both zones (E/Wollega-29 and W/Wollega-26)

Key IDP Interventions in East and West Wollega Zones Key IDP Interventions in East and West Wollega Zones Technical teams from RHB, EPHI/FMoH, Addis Ababa RHB and WHO were deployed to both zones Drugs and supplies were provided for zones Drugs and WASH materials were supported to zones by RHB from its owns stock 25 IDP Kits/EDKs from EPHI/PFSA (E/Wollega-13, W/Wollega-8, Nekemte Town-4) 8 EDKs by UNICEF Ethiopia (E/Wollega-5 and W/Wollega-3) 8 IEHK Kits by WHO (W/Wollega -5 and E/Wollega-3) CMAM supplies (Plumpynut, F100, F75) were provided by UNICEF for both zones Different drugs were supplied for both zones by IRC 470,000 ETB was transferred to zones and town for IDP operational cost W/Wollega-270,000 Birr E/Wollega -150,000 Birr Nekemte Town - 50,000 Birr

WASH materials (soaps, water Rx Chemicals, Roto, Sanitary pads, jericans, etc) were requested to UNICEF and being processed for East and West Wollega zones Drugs and NFI kits are being distributed by MSF-Spain and MCMDO for both zones One Ambulance was given for East Wollega zone One rented vehicle by UNOPS was provided for E/Wollega zone from the region Strengthening coordination and collaboration of IDP responses at Regional, Zonal and Woreda levels Integrated IDP response plan of both zones was prepared and communicated with all stakeholders Enhancing partners support on IDP activities Daily IDP situation updating, reporting and feedback at all level

About 33,595 peoples were attended IPD and OPD treatment services East Wollega 16,249 West Wollega 17,346 197 Trauma cases were treated to dated (E/Wollega-69 and W/Wollega- 128) 530 pregnant mothers were got ANC services E/Wollega - 305 W/Wollega - 225 136 mothers were attended skilled deliveries in both zones (E/Wollega- 113, W/Wollega-23 Strengthening WASH activities at IDP sites Personal hygiene and environmental sanitation promotion Temporary latrine construction Water treatment chemicals distribution and uses

Key Challenges/Gaps Weak coordination at zonal and woreda level Shortage drugs and supplies mainly for chronic diseases Absence of essential drugs and medical supplies Shortage of F100 and F75 Shortage of operational cost Inadequate supply of general and supplementary food for IDPs Critical shortage of NFI kits Shortage of water supply at IDP sites Low latrine availability at IDP sites Availability of security problems in IDP woredas mainly in West Wollega zone Shortage of vehicles and logistics
