1. One Stop Shop (OSS) in Kasese Town in Western Uganda 2. Sululta Urban WASH (SuW) Pilot Ethiopia: Both Represent an example of What the RC/RC can do in Collaboration with the Private Sector and State Authorities.
OSS Partnership : EnviClean ,Uganda RC, Danish RC, Kasese Municipality, Local entrepreneur Services Sanitary shop (WCs, Bath facilities, Sanitary Items) Clinic : Antenatal and Immunisation Services. Water Kiosk Operational Costs still higher than total income (UGX 1.5 million against 0.95 million) Low uptake of service, ODF and enforcement. Operational time. Limitations to diversify products in OSS Successful Model : Previous very unhygienic public latrine. Learning and replication.
OSS Sululta Urban WASH Pilot Partnership: (NFI to ERCS and Urban WASH pilot) IFRC, Nestle, ERCS Stakeholders: Sululta Municipality Key Components: Water Supply Study Investigate present Challenges (demand /Supply) Sanitation in 2 Schools (Infrastructure and HP) Sanitation and HP in Communities around Nestle Bottling plant. NFI Budget: CHF 110,000 SuW Budget: CHF 250,000: Timeframe 24 Months
