
USDA NRCS National Water Quality Initiative Webinar Summary
The USDA NRCS National Water Quality Initiative (NWQI) Source Water Protection webinar, led by Deirdre Mason from the Association of State Drinking Water Administrators, discussed the mission of ASDWA, the purpose of the NWQI pilot program, and collaboration opportunities with NRCS and other partners. Presenters shared insights on source water protection projects and highlighted a project proposal from Connecticut. Following the webinar, a video recording will be available on ASDWA's website for further viewing. Participants were encouraged to submit questions through the webinar control panel for a Q&A session at the end.

Todays Webinar Purpose: To share information about the new USDA NRCS National Water Quality Initiative (NWQI) Source Water Protection Readiness Pilot set to launch in FY 2019. To offer tips and perspectives for state source water protection programs on how to collaborate with NRCS State Conservationists, state clean water programs, and local partners on projects for this NWQI pilot. To provide an example of an NWQI source water protection project proposal being developed in Connecticut that highlights the value of collaborating with each partner.
