Login with CERN Primary account Service or secondary accounts must be configured by VO administrators: project-lcg-vo-atlas-admin@cern.ch
https://atlas-auth.cern.ch ATLAS IAM user registration form Experiment name and logo Some text is currently required for this box, which is expected to be removed in a future version. Example registration reason ATLAS VO AUP (automatically signed during registration) Then click the register button
The registration request has been submitted. Next you need to check e-mail
The email message from ATLAS IAM sent to your CERN registered address contains a confirmation link: click on this link ...
the registration request has been confirmed. That request then needs to be processed by a VO administrator
Once VO administrator approve new registration, user receive the message from ATLAS IAM. If user tries to login before receiving this notification IAM returns error message: AUP is now automatically signed during registration (email text will be fixed in future)
Grid client certificate must be imported in the browser and used to access IAM login page. Although there are different personal grid certificate issuers, ATLAS recommend those provided by CERN: https://ca.cern.ch/ca/user/Request.aspx? template=EE2User
Now the user can log in again via SSO to connect their browser certificate to their IAM account for convenience and, more importantly, to be able to obtain VOMS proxies! The certificate that IAM found in the browser is not yet linked to the user s IAM account
User details after new account registration Link user client certificate
IAM allows to link certificate that was enabled as client certificate on the IAM login page. Although it is technically possible to link any certificate, our grid services works only with supported grid personal certificates. It is recommended to use CERN personal certificates and configuration can be validated with setupATLAS diagnostics gridCert
User details after new linking new certificate User can ask for new group membership (e.g. atlas/country_code)
