2018 USFHL AGM: 2/7/2018 Review 2017 Goals & Accomplishments Discuss 2018 Goals Look Ahead Nationals 2018 Details AGM Requirements for Non-Profit Next Steps Optional- Knowledge Sharing, Questions, and Additional Conversation
2017 REVIEW Accomplishments 1) Hosted a Men s & Women s National Championship 2) Formed Advisory Board 3) Tech platform- Launched Website 4) Network & Build Relationships FIH, NFHCA, USA FH, Pan Am, JPOL, and 4goals Liaison Roles- Tabled until 2018
2018 Goals GOALS 1) Improve quality and grow size of 2018 Nationals 2) Tech- Website Functionality, Social Media Presence Adult Master calendar to advertise local events and minimize conflicts Search functionality- Visitors can search for local, league, club, open hockey, etc. List Current Communities and Reps 1. 2. 3. 3) Connecting and Strengthening Advisory Board 1 v 1s Set up Official Structure 4) Strengthen Network Form Liaison Relationships Rotating Social Co-Ed Fundraising Tournament Future Goals 5) 2019 Indoor Nationals 2020 Two Classes/Tiers for National Championship
NATIONALS 2018 Nationals 2018 Details Most likely July 13-15 in Philadelphia Discussion- 2ndchoice was July 20-22 in Philadelphia Regions interested for: 12 Women and 8 Men spots Qualification standards and exceptions Allowing NCAA athletes at USFHL Events? 13.11.3.2.1 It is permissible for a coach, to play with or against perspective student athletes, Regularly scheduled and under the authority of an outside sports organization, student athlete are eligible to enter the competition, Can include high school, prep school and junior college. 17.9.8.1.1.1 In field hockey athletes- may compete as a member of an outside, any non collegiate amateur, They can play during a vacation time- but no more than 5 kids on a team at the same time Priorities for improvement for 2018 Nationals Umpires- Technical table, Work w/ USA FH again or go rogue?
