Using DRV2625 EVB for LRA Measurement and Analysis
Utilize the DRV2625 EVB with integrated LRA for measurement. Detailing console settings, waveform adjustments, VDD connections, and Vpp changes with VDD variations. Discuss open/closed loop operations and sampling rate optimization through oscilloscope settings. Summarize Vpp variations and the effect of Vp over the overdrive voltage setting in open/closed loop configurations.

Use DRV2625 EVB with integrated LRA to measure DRV2625 EVB SCH Oscilloscope Probe(TP1 & TP8) Integrated LRA Connect to PC for console VDD connect to external power supply TP1 & TP8 is through low pass filter
Console Setting Waveform: Strong Click 100% Rated voltage:1.8V OverDriveVoltage:3V Frequency:238.0952380(Console default) On/off time: 60ms/940ms (1Hz) Do calibration every time before measurement
Close loop, Set sampling rate 5ks/s , change VDD 3.6V/4.4V Vpp increase when VDD change from 3.6V to 4.4V Vp over set overdrivevoltage 3V Vpp Vp VDD=3.6V, Vpp=6.192V, Vp=3.1V/-3.3V VDD=4.4V, Vpp=6.76V, Vp=3.26V/-3.35V Set sampling rate to 5ks/s to eliminate PWM noise by TI Carson suggestion
Close loop, Set time scale 20s, vibrate 30 times, change VDD 3.6V/4.4V Vpp increase when VDD change from 3.6V to 4.4V Vp over set overdrivevoltage 3V Vpp Vp VDD=4.4V, Vpp=7V, Vp=3.38V/-3.62V VDD=3.6V, Vpp=6.52V, Vp=3.14V/-3.38V Time scale 20s, sampling 500ks/s by TI Carson suggestion But our oscilloscope can t support above 100Ks/s at time scale 20s So we set to 50ks/s
Open loop, Set sampling rate 5ks/s , change VDD 3.6V/4.4V Vpp increase when VDD change from 3.6V to 4.4V Vp over set overdrivevoltage 3V Vpp Vp VDD=3.6V, Vpp=6..48V, Vp=3.14V/-3.34V VDD=4.4V, Vpp=6.8V, Vp=3.3V/-3.5V Set sampling rate to 5ks/s to eliminate PWM noise by TI Carson suggestion
Open loop, Set time scale 20s, vibrate 30 times, change VDD 3.6V/4.4V Vpp increase when VDD change from 3.6V to 4.4V Vp over set overdrivevoltage 3V Vpp Vp VDD=4.4V, Vpp=6.92V, Vp=3.34V/-3.58V VDD=3.6V, Vpp=6.64V, Vp=3.22V/-3.42V Time scale 20s, sampling 500ks/s by TI Carson suggestion But our oscilloscope can t support above 100Ks/s at time scale 20s So we set to 50ks/s
Summary Vpp change with VDD no matter at open/close loop Vp over overdrivevoltage setting no matter at open/close loop
Questions E2E link ( E2E link (https https:// Why suggest us set oscilloscope for 500kS/s at 20s/div ? ://e2e.ti.com/support/motor e2e.ti.com/support/motor- -drivers/f/38/p/928478/3442887#3442887 drivers/f/38/p/928478/3442887#3442887) ) Which waveform we provide make you think it is not through filter? We measure waveform from EVB TP1/TP8 which is through filter
Questions Could you provide waveforms you measured below?
