  2. WEFs Utility Partnership Program Quick Facts What is it? WEF s Utility Partnership Program (UPP) is not a category of membership. WEF s UPP offers the convenience of a billing process that consolidates a utility s WEF members within one account, streamlining the annual renewal process. UPP members retain their individual WEF membership, original membership number, credit for years of membership, and remain full- voting members. Each individual must be a member of a Member Association. Membership Categories WEF s 2017 Individual Membership Rates are as follows: Professional - $140/year Executive - $310/year Professional Wastewater Operations (PWO) - $75/year Young Professional - $49/year Fees outlined above do not include local MA dues. Please note, the size and/or scope of a utility is not a determining factor in annual dues rates.

  3. WEFs Utility Partnership Program Quick Facts Benefits Exclusive, reduced registration rates on WEFTEC Full Conference registration for members and non-members. Up to five new WEF members may be added by the utility each year. Complimentary membership for two Public Officials (elected or appointed). 40% off the list price for most WEF Knowledge Center courses. UPP members retain their individual WEF membership, original membership number, credit for years of membership, and remain full-voting members. Important Notes Utilities should have a minimum of five employees to participate in the program. There is no limit to the number of WEF members that may be added to your UPP account. There is no additional fee for enrolling in the program. At this time, UPP participation is limited to North America and Canada. UPP Stats As of May 31, there are 295 utilities (representing 4,400 individuals) participating in WEF s Utility Partnership Program.

  4. WEFs Utility Partnership Program Commonly Asked Questions Is there an additional fee for creating a UPP? No, there is no fee for creating a UPP. Each member is an individual member Executive, Professional, Operator, and Young Professional. Is there a cap on the number of members you can have in a UPP? Utilities should have a minimum of five employees to participate in the program. There is no limit to the number of WEF members that may be added to your UPP account. What if someone leaves the utility in the middle of a membership cycle? The utility has paid for the membership. Therefore, if the utility notifies us, WEF will terminate the membership. WEF will then transfer the remaining membership dues toward another employee s dues What happens to the individual membership, if the employee leaves the designated utility? When WEF staff learns that someone has left the designated utility, every effort is made to reach out to the member to notify them that their membership is no longer being paid by the UPP. It is important that members go into their WEF membership profile and include personal email addresses and home addresses. This will enable WEF staff to notify him/her of any changes.

  5. WEFs Utility Partnership Program Commonly Asked Questions Do your individual members have to join a Member Association? Yes, all WEF members in a UPP must belong to a Member Association. Do all of the Member Associations participate in the Utility Partnership Program? At this time, six Member Associations do not accept UPPs programs.   6. WEFs Utility Partnership Program Commonly Asked Questions What if the employees membership cycle is different than the UPPs? WEF staff will review each individual membership cycle. They will pro-rate an individual s membership cycle to fit into the UPP cycle. How are UPP renewals handled? Each UPP is asked to designate a UPP Contact person. Two months prior to renewal, WEF will send the UPP Contact person an invoice. This timeframe is to allow the Contact person enough time to review the invoice and make any changes. If there are changes, the Contact person sends the changes back to WEF and a revised invoice is created and sent back to the Contact person. Will the individual member receive a renewal notice? The individual member should not receive a renewal notice. One of the of the benefits of having a UPP is to avoid having numerous employees submitting membership renewals at different times throughout the year. Will the individual member receive a WEF membership card? Yes, each WEF member is an individual member and a membership card will be sent once the UPP invoice has been paid.
