Michele Reid, Lieutenant Colonel, US Army I grew up in Michigan US Army officer for 23 years Lived in eight states (including Hawaii) Visited 49 of 50 US States Been to 15 countries I like to read, ride my bicycle, and hike. I have two cats and my favorite subject in school was history. I live in Texas now!

  3. Veterans Day A Day to recognize Veterans since 1919 (almost 100 years ago!) A National Holiday in the US to recognize everyone who served in the military How can you celebrate Veterans Day? -Say Thank You to a Veteran -Help place flags at military cemeteries -Attend a Veterans Day parade

  4. Being in the Army The Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines protect the country. Our uniforms show our rank, our unit, and other skills we have accomplished, like parachuting Every branch has their own uniforms and history What is Awesome about the Army Making new friends Traveling and visiting new places Working with great people Moving and living all over the country What is Hard about the Army Missing holidays & birthdays Deploying and being away from home Sometimes you have to stay late and work hard
