Voice of Democracy Contd AL Department Winner awarded a minimum $1,500. First Place National Winner top Scholarship $35,000. SMART/MAHER VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher of the Year Eligibility: Available for all Teachers (K-12) Requirements: Teachers who promote civic responsibility, flag etiquette and patriotism are prime candidates for this award.
