The method outlined by Tom Irvine recommends velocity severity categories for PSD base inputs, aiding in the planning of design and analysis efforts to ensure components pass their PSD tests. Drawing on the work of experts like Gaberson and utilizing innovative approaches like the Dirlik method, this document provides valuable insights into predicting stress and fatigue damage in structures subject to shock and vibration. Discover how pseudo velocity is used in fatigue calculations and learn about the contributions of Howard Gaberson, a distinguished specialist in shock and vibration analysis.

  2. Our Values We are committed to the health and safety of personnel IMS Standard 1.21 Management Review applies to all OTML sites and personnel The purpose of the Standard is to ensure that health, safety and environmental risks are identified and appropriately managed during design, construction and commissioning of projects Mobile Plant and Equipment

  3. How Will We Meet the Standard Personnel and Practices Chief Engineer / General Manager Maintenance and Engineering has overall responsibility Each site / project will have Site Responsible Engineer Responsible technical personnel with specific expertise will be used where required Only Chief Engineer / Site Responsible Engineer approved engineering specifications and documentation can be used These documents must meet relevant: Statutory legislation OHSE standards and procedures Engineering standards Local, national and international standards Mobile Plant and Equipment

  4. How Will We Meet the Standard Process Safety KPIs for process safety and asset management must be established measured reported Information about process safety hazards and controls available from: site risk register register of process safety critical equipment and critical protection systems facility, plant and equipment information files Process safety incidents reported through incident management system Mobile Plant and Equipment

  5. How Will We Meet the Standard New Plant and Equipment Asset life cycle is considered: acquisition operation maintenance disposal Critical protection systems must meet specified requirements Asset procurement, operation and disposal must be documented Mobile Plant and Equipment

  6. How Will We Meet the Standard Maintenance, Testing and Inspection Asset maintenance / management requirements established Electronic asset integrity management / maintenance program used by sites Statutory inspections and testing carried out and documented Maintenance scheduled and completed as per OTML requirements and procedures Work order sheets / job plans signed off after maintenance Records updated and available for the life of each asset or as per legislation Mobile Plant and Equipment

  7. How Will We Meet the Standard Design, Construction and Commissioning Staged-gated process for decision making for major to medium investments to ensure: Facilities designed and constructed using technology that considers OHSE and commercial risks All standards and specifications are met Ideas Implement Best Option Ideas Option Option Ideas Gate 2 Gate 1 Which one is best?
