W H O I S R E S P O N S I B L E F O R T H E E VA L U AT I O N O F L E A R N I N G ? Educational institutions and the Minist re de l ducation, du Quebec share the responsibility for evaluating learning in vocational training programs. Through a very democratic process, professionals who are teaching in both the French and English school boards from across the province, select specific performance criteria from the program of study that should be evaluated for each competency.
W H AT A R E T H E E VA L UAT I O N S P E C I F I C AT I O N S The evaluation criteria for the entire program are presented to teachers as a guide that is commonly referred to as the Evaluation Specifications. This guide provides: 1) the list of performance criteria that must be evaluated for each competency and 2) the point value of each criteria Very Important! Each evaluation criterion and its corresponding point value is prescriptive and cannot be changed by the teacher or school board professionals!

If and when you decide to make a local exam. Evaluation Specifications = Evaluation Form W H E N W I L L I N E E D T H E E V A L U AT I O N S P E C I F I C AT I O N S ? Note: Teachers are encouraged to use the BIM exams for all competencies. Local exams should only be made for competencies that do not have a BIM or Ministry exam or when the required exam equipment is not available at the centre.
E VA L UAT I O N S P E C S = E VA L UAT I O N F O R M Each competency must be evaluated and the results expressed as a pass or a fail mark.
Many evaluation instruments will come from BIM while some will come from the Ministry.
