Congressional Budget Update FY 2020 NDAA (Battle of Numbers) House Version: $733 Billion ($664 for Base; $69 for OCO) Actions: House Armed Services Committee (HASC) will markup Subcommittee bills on June 4 and 5; Full Committee bill markup on June 12 Senate Version: $750 Billion ($642.5 for Base; $23.2 for DOE; and $75.9 for OCO) Actions: Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) advanced bill out of Committee by a vote of 25-2 What does it fund?: Nuclear Modernization Program (Triad); Planes (F-35 s, F-15X, Tankers); Ships (Submarines); R&D (Hypersonics and Cybersecurity Capabilities); Space Force; and more efficient and effective acquisition processes inter alia FY 2020 Defense Appropriations (No Budget Resolution passed in Congress; no agreement to lift budget caps) House Version: $690.2 Billion ($622.1 for Base; $68.1 for OCO) Actions: House Committee on Appropriations advanced bill out of Committee by a vote of 30 to 22 2/25/2025 7
