JOB DESCRIPTION (MATCH) A job description is a document showing details of the vacancy to be filled, including the job title, work details, duties and responsibilities of the job, conditions of employment, who the successful candidate will report to and place of work. It may also include salary and conditions.

  7. MATCH: PERSON SPECIFICATION A person specification is a document describing the qualities that the ideal candidate for the job should have and often outlines qualifications, previous work experience and relevant personal characteristics and skills.

  8. Advertisements: Explain underlined terms CV: Curriculum Vitae. This is a document setting out/ personal, educational, work experience information together with skills and talents plus any other relevant information of a person seeking employment. Referees: These are people who know the job seeker and a potential employer can contact them to find out about their reliability Equal opportunities employer. Not discriminate on the 9 grounds (gender), everyone has equal chance of employment

  9. Interpersonal skills: skills we use to communicate and interact with each other. Covering letter/letter of Application: a letter that accompanies a CV/explains why you should be given an interview. References: a letter/email/phone call that sets out your suitability/skills/qualities/employment history/from previous employer/ personal contact/educational establishment/can be added to a CV Personnel /(HR) Human Resources Manager: the person who is in charge of the department that deals with employment/training/support Trends: Aptitude tests, shortlisting, presentations during interview
