This initiative aims to encourage BSN completion for rural nurses, address challenges and barriers, and increase the BSN ratio in rural organizations. It involves establishing baseline data, updating organizational incentives, proposing partnerships with universities, and setting short and long-term goals. The readiness assessment launched in February 2014 indicates the current state of BSN enrollment and certification rates, with incentives and barriers highlighted for further improvement. The partnership with UW-Eau Claire focuses on a BSN completion pilot program with Black River Memorial Hospital to enhance support for student nurses and promote a culture of BSN completion within the organization.
