WSC TERMS OF REFERENCE 1. The Web Steering Committee (WSC) has accountabilities for the following: Directions for the web presence, including underlying technologies (content management system, social media, etc.), and support/training models for its use. Monitoring web accessibility legislation requirements and Waterloo compliance. Evolution of, and compliance to, the official web design, web development and web technology. Approval of best practice guidelines (use, design) for the University web presence. Review recommendations and seek advice from the Web Advisory Committee (WAC), on all aspects of web planning, development and practice on campus. Provide a forum for Marketing and Strategic Communications, IST and WAC to discuss and share information about University of Waterloo web design, technologies and training. Inform campus community about web initiatives on the WSC website. Prioritize web projects for review by UCIST. a) b) c) d) e) 2. 3. 4. Update to WAC
