  1. ESS spoke CM02 weekly meeting 20201126 Han Li

  2. CM status cooldown to 4 K (19th Nov.) PFC cold conditioning ( 20th Nov.) cooldown to 2 K (23rd Nov.) CTS measurement (24th Nov.)

  3. FPC cold conditioning Simultaneously conditioning at 4 K Conditioning frequency 353 MHz Total cold conditioning time ~ 3 h (real time) Outgassing at 76 dBm up to 1.2E-8 mbar

  4. Cooldown Cool down from 220 K to 4 K took about 5 h Cool down from 4 K to 2 K took about 1 h cold down from 220 K to 4 K temperature curves

  5. Cavity parameter Cavity frequency (MHz) Room T 4 K 2K Cav_in 351. 584 352.151 352.132 Cav_out 351.538 352.114 352.094 Pressure sensitivity (Hz/mbar) Cav_in 17.5 Cav_out 18.5 QL Cav_in 1.5E5 Cav_out 2E5

  6. Insert signal through a circulator Will check with decay measurement when RF on QL for Cav_in @ 4 K QL for Cav_in @ 2 K

  7. CTS2 CTS2 move to target frequency 352.20984 MHz motor position: 1.78mm motor turns: 4543 Tuning sensitivity for Cav_out is about 85 KHz/mm

  8. Piezo for CTS2 Unipolar : 0 to 200 V Bipolar:-40 to 200 V PZ21 has smaller range than PZ20

  9. Issue CTS1 - The tuner seems stuck at 0.3 mm on the first run - The tuner seems now stuck at 0 mm - tuner get in the negative range and hit the mechanical stop No enough torque for the motor Increase driving current from 0.6 to 0.9 A Piezos for CTS2 - The polarity of cable from FREIA side is inverted Piezo respond correct - Is the polarity of piezos inside the CM inverted?

  10. Preliminary time plan Test item time comment 26th-30th Oct. CM installation 2nd 4th Nov. Preparation Install cavity vacuum pump group /water cooling system 5nd-10th Nov.
