Week of SEPT 27 to OCT 1 Workbooks are our textbooks. Workbooks are passed out to each individual student and are also available on line at the Launchpad app. See directions on my WAG page and ask your student (they know how) PARENTS: We are working on Sections 1,2, and 3 in Chapter 14 Structure and Movement
LEARNING TARGETS 1. Student can answer 10 questions on Skeletal system, Muscular system, and Integumentary system 2.. Student will understand WHAT LIFE IS? Cells, tissues, organs, organ systems, organism (First 9 weeks goal)
I INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITES MONDAY- OPEN- What are 3 types of Muscle lesson 2 WORK- Begin Lesson 2 Muscles in Workbook, 4 pages in class, (blank charts) - Media activity on Muscles and movement- Students take notes on superhuman physical abilities CLOSE - All checkmark sections in Lesson 1 and 2 should be complete HOMEWORK- ask parents to sign workbook on page 410 TUESDAY OPEN- Review workbook for lesson 1 on board on skeletal system WORK- 1. work 20 min independently on lesson 2= muscles 2. Check and complete with lesson on board CLOSE- Begin HW sheet and explain HOMEWORK- Skeletal worksheet
WEDNESDAY - CELL PHONES WILL BE USED IN CLASS FOR ONLINE LEARNING ACTIVITY Parents may preview at Generation Genius web page OPEN pretest on Todays LAB activity (worksheet from Generation Genius) WORK Notetaking on 7 vocabulary works from todays activity View 15 minute lesson on PHOTOSYNTHESIS AND CELLULAR RESPIRATION and students check their work on the pretest Class checks their own work with Teacher Students test their knowledge in KAHOOT ACTIVITY WITH cell phones on the web. CLOSE- Student completes the EXIT questions for todays video and TURN IN FOR GRADE AND THEN KEEP IN SCIENCE NOTEBOOK
INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES THURSDAY-OPEN- Reteach and take questions on Lesson 1 and 2 WORK- 1. Do Lesson 3 in workbook Ch 14 CLOSE --Write 5 questions for Friday on Chapter 14 Structure and Movement HOMEWORK Worksheet on Muscles FRIDAY-----OPEN- What are your Question on Structure and Movement? Student turn in papers from Thursday WORK- - Teach homework worksheet - Structure and Movement Quiz - Practice formative test CLOSE- check progress and keep work for test on Oct 4
ASSESSMENTS/RUBRICS Generation Genius activity on Photosynthesis and cellular respiration Workbook Chapter 14 Lessons 1,2,3 should be complete. Parents please check Practice quiz given on Friday to work on in class and to take home to finish to prepare for test on Oct 4
Resources for Parents and Students You may have to create a user name one time for these programs. You will only have to do this once. All are free websites and I use in the classroom.
