  2. APPROPRIATE ATTIRE FOR PHYS. ED SWEATPANTS SOCKS SNEAKERS TEE SHIRT APPROPRIATE SHORTS SWEATSHIRT JACKET (FOR GOING OUTSIDE IN COLDER WEATHER)

  3. MEDICAL EXCUSES FOR PHYS. ED A note from the student s parent/guardian is required to be given to both the nurse and I if the student is to be excused from participating due to illness or injury. Illness or injury resulting in the student being excused for two or more days requires a doctor s note If a doctor s note is issued for a student to be excused from class, a doctor s note must then be issued in order for a student to resume physical activity!

  4. GRADING POLICY GRADES PREK-6 RECEIVE A GRADE BASED ON A SCALE FROM 1-4 GRADES 7/8 ARE PERCENTAGE GRADES 0-100%. BELOW A 65% IS CONSIDERED FAILING. Respectful keep your hands and feet to yourself, only touch your own belongings, leave the space as you found it Organized- come to class prepared and ready to participate Accepting- respect one another, be mindful of other s feelings Responsible- be on time, no cellphones allowed, engages in physical activity safely Behavior- demonstrates appropriate behavior, follows class rules, handles all equipment with care **if a student chooses to not follow the rules, depending on the infraction- consequences will occur

  5. INCREASED CONCENTRATION EFFFECTS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION ON LEARNING INCREASED ATTENTIVENESS IN CLASS BETTER GRADES BETTER BEHAVIOR REDUCES STRESS AND ANXIETY PROMOTES OVERALL WELL BEING

  6. GO FOR A WALK/JOG/OR RUN WAYS TO INCREASE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY FOLLOW FITNESS VIDEOS ONLINE (YOUTUBE, FITNESS APPS, ETC) PLAYGROUND FUN JOIN A GYM AFTER SCHOOL INTRAMURALS/YONKERS PAL OR RECREATION DEPARTMENT, YMCA, ETC
