Roles and responsibilities of the NCID The NCID provides: Provide a top-up municipal services o General basic services such as cleaning o Up-keep of parks and recreational facilities o Beautifying of public spaces, etc. Make public areas safer Visible public safety officers for the area

Correspondence from residents The Council should check the open fields at Eastwood Drive. It is an on-going problem, dumping and not been cleaned. Yes I know it belong to private owners but it is opposite the houses of Northpine and nothing has been done by the NCID. We have to send numerous emails to Environmental Dept. to clean the open fields. How can NCID assist with this on-going problem we have. Even Northpine own residents are dumping on the open fields. It is a pain for us living near the open fields. It is a pain for us living near the fields. The drug house in Eastwood drive is an on-going problem, it is going on for years and we as residents have tried everything. The house is not in a good condition and it is a safety risk for our daughters and sons. There should be by-laws about the condition of the house and the safety risks to the community. Is the safety camera working or not? We cannot just beautify the top part of Northpine and the rest of Northpine is a dump. Closing of walkthrough at the end of Cordega way. This had been an on-going discussion with valid reasons, safety, preventing littering, dumping etc. Security personnel from SJC shares the same feeling, apparently recommended or requested by them in reports as well. At last meeting was promised to start process, up to now, no feedback
Pavement down Rosette way on the Church side, in aid of pedestrians who constantly have to dodge traffic, currently being forced to walk in the road. Security staff compliment, Shift patterns, House break-ins, Number of vehicle patrols, Old Paarl, Almeria, North of Wolwefontein, Visibility of safety officers Neighborhood watch Speedbumps in Howard Drive SLA, SOP s, KPI s It s important residents understand what they can expect from NCID and what your remit is, therefore not having unreasonable expectations and knowledge of what you accountable for? Suggest placing a big recyclable bin at Saverite or OK mini market for Northpine to become greener. We could potentially make money for the CID if these bins are collected by a recyclable company.
Down the Hatch liquors I am very concerned that having a liquor store in Northpine will attract more crime and a different crowd which I don t think anyone really wants as this is mostly important a family orientated neighborhood. Is there any action that can be taken to remove it. The end of Ponderosa Street after the field we don't see clean up crews like the main roads and in the evenings folks sit and drink by the heaped sand and all their rubbish is just left behind The man hole that's missing also by the heaped sand is an accident waiting to happen. We need some more of that heaped gravel is the cars have found another way past there.
