4 Welcome to the Class of 24! Thank you for joining us for the 7-week program leading up to the May 2024 Case Study exam. Your commitment to the program will allow you to take all the right steps in getting exam ready and exam confident. The program starts 1 week before the release of the Case Study pre-seen to May 2024. Do aim to start the program in the recommended week to allow adequate time to cover the key areas, in the order they are presented. If you join the program in a later week, that is also fine. Again, do aim to progress starting with the content in week 1 of the program. Week 3 is a catch-up week, so you will not be far behind. Each week in themed and follows the vital insights provided by your Case Study exam examiners themselves. Let s get started in preparing for your Case Study exam! After you are familiar with it, it is time to master it! You have this and the catch-up week next week to gain an in-depth insight to the information provided and further your thoughts through a detailed analysis in preparation for the exam. Your Exam Preparation objectives for this week Resource to achieve this objective Week 2 I have prepared a detailed SWOT analysis, with reasoning; identified and evaluated key issues (business, ethical, financial and performance) and risks facing the organisation. Star resource How to use the professional qualification blueprints The blueprints for the Case Study exam are a must read. They lay out what is examinable & weightings. They highlight competencies, skills and knowledge required to pass the examination. All this plus role simulation information and assessment outcomes. There is one for each level, select the one relevant to you and start your way through it. I can foresee new scenarios and challenges. How to pass your Operational/Managerial Case Study Exam recording of a live webinar from 2023, presented by a top tutor who runs through examples of how to analyse the pre- seen information. N.B these are based on the pre-seen from 2023, but the guidance and process to follow are still valid for your pre-seen in 2024. There is no separate webinar for the Strategic Case Study yet, but the Managerial webinar will still apply in principle. Review this to get the most valuable insight as to how you need to approach your answer in the exam and see how technical knowledge builds our answer. There is one for each level. In this concise summary you will find important information covering five key areas that will be helpful to produce a Case Study Examination answer examiner love to see. Filling Knowledge gaps - Key technical topics from each level This very useful list helps you to ensure you are proficient with all the key areas from each level and allows the opportunity to brush up on tricky areas.
