  2. Welcome to Cyber Foundations I (Code.org) Cyber Foundations ('20-'21) Welcome to Cyber Foundations! The 7thgrade class has recently changed from ICT I to a new curriculum focused on critical 21stCentury skills. To help the school year get off to a good start, I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about the class.

  3. Cyber Foundation I Cyber Foundations is similar to classes students have taken in previous years in that we have routines, classroom rules, assigned seats, class work, tests, and grades. Cyber Foundations differs, however, in a few ways. First, because of the specialized software and tutorials used in class, all work must be completed in the computer lab. This means attendance is critical to students success. New tasks are presented daily and build in complexity throughtout a unit. If a student falls behind schedule, he/she can make up during activity time

  4. Classroom Rule & Expectation Be Respectful (We are considerate of others feelings, rights, and qualities.) Use appropriate and positive language and volume. Listen when others are speaking, and speak when it is your turn. Ask for permission to leave your seat. Respect others, all staff, and property. Use kind words and actions

  5. Classroom Rule & Expectation Be Responsible (We are resilient, driven and accountable for our own actions) Follow all staff directions the first time given. Take care of your personal belongings, and clean up after yourself. Be prepared by bringing all supplies. Complete and turn in all assignments and homework (ON TIME)

  6. Classroom Rule & Expectation Be Safe (We are positive contributors to our home and school communities.) Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself Sit correctly on chairs. Stay in assigned seat Use classroom materials and equipment appropriately Use peaceful solutions

  7. Classroom Rules & Expectation For Covid-19 Let s work together to stop the spread of COVID-19 Wear mask at all time Adhere to social distancing (6 feet apart in classrooms, outside and on buses) Sanitize and wash hands for 20 seconds Cover your coughs and sneezes If you feel sick or exhibit any symptoms, stay home and seek medical care immediately

  8. Mask up to the challenge! For now this is our new NORMAL, let s adjust and have a safe and productive school year.
