Communication Communicating electronically School Enews email updates The school website www.connellspt-p.schools.nsw.edu.au Notes Work and Note folder given out on Thursday to be returned on Friday. On-line payments. If money is collected by class teachers - snap lock bag with name, class, amount enclosed & what the money is for. Include a permission note is required
Communication SENTRAL ESB4 attendance, student wellbeing, contact details, medical alerts. Absentee notes Phone calls to Office are not proof of absence, a note is still required. If your child is going away for eleven days or more, an application for extended leave must be completed at the office before leaving. Availability for meeting with parents A quick word in the morning at lines. If you are coming to school during the day, you need to get a visitor s pass.
Classroom Organisation Reports, Parent Interviews and Assessment Best Start report. At the end of the term, Monday 4 April, there will be a parent / teacher interview to discuss your child s progress. Written reports are sent home at the end of Terms 2 and 4. Strategies for meeting students varying needs Teaching and learning programs cater for the needs of each child by personalising instruction. Literacy and Numeracy levels are constantly being monitored and children are matched to their correct level.

Homework Home Reading Homework home reading news/topic talk preparation sight words worksheet for practise of sounds or words, maths activity (Please only complete one written sheet per week.) (Monday to be returned on Friday in Homework folders) learning to write their names (in school writing) 10 -15 mins per night. Home Reading A reading book at their level with a Reading Log to record their daily reading. The home reading book is at the independent reading level of your child.
