  2. Mission For The Class My mission for the class mirrors the Winthrop Public School s Core Values which are: "To develop high self esteem in all students. To respect human differences. To encourage high academic achievement from all students. To support the centrality of the classroom." It is my hope to achieve and instill these values in a fun, happy and exciting way. Mrs. Young Mrs. Young

  3. For Your Information For Your Information Snacktime is offered each day. Due to allergies, I do not provide snack if your child does not bring one into school. Your child should have a backpack and a homework folder. I will put notes in the homework folder as well as small amounts of homework. Please send the folder in everyday. Homework will be review of language arts, math or writing. It should only take a short time. If your child becomes overly frustrated, stop! Write me a note and we will take care of the homework in school. I recognize birthdays on the last day of school with a food-free celebration. You may also send in stickers or pencils in honor of the birthday child. I will only pass out invitations for the whole class. I realize that it is not always possible to invite the class, but if you are only inviting some of the students, you must do this outside of the classroom.

  4. More Information. More Information . Due to the messy nature of kindergarten learning, your child should wear clothing that could possible be stained. We do have paint smocks, but they do not always protect the student s clothing. We will be going out for recess on most days so appropriate seasonal clothing is necessary (i.e.. gloves, hats etc.). If your child is ordering lunch, please send the money in an envelope with your child s name and the item your child will be ordering. This will help in the first few weeks of ordering. (lunch and breakfast are free 2021- 2022)
