From the nurse: No cough drops or OTC medicines sent with kids All medications, INCLUDING OTC medications on campus must have a doctor s order and prescription labels each year The school does not have a generic EPI pen on campus! If your student does not have an EPI pen on file with proper orders, we will be waiting for EMS to arrive. When picking up an ill student, please sign the student out in front office

  7. Advice from Attendance: If your student is late, please send a note and have them sign in the front office. If student arrives before 9:30 am, they can sign in at their house office and receive a late pass there. If your student is absent, you do not need to notify the school. Send the student with an excuse note from the doctor the following day. Under HISD Attendance Policy, excuse notes should be submitted within three school days after the absence. To pick up a student early from school Parent or approved contact must come into Attendance office and sign the student out. Parent or approved contact must show ID. We can not call your student out before you arrive. Please plan accordingly. The latest time you can sign out a student is 3:30 pm, on early dismissal days it is 12:15 pm.

  8. Misc. Be sure to renew your HISD VIPS each school year, you can not go on a field trip without this Additional student IDs can be purchased at the school store for $5 Transportation issues contact Mr. Neal pneal@houstonisd.org Student phones?? What if I need to talk to my child?

  13. After School Care 4:30 6:00 daily Not available on early release days and the Friday before a HISD holiday (Please make arrangements for your child)

  14. The 6th grade dance Do they really dance at the dance? What do they wear? Will there be food? Can a parent attend with their kiddo? Only 6th grade Pin Oak students are allowed at the dance. Parents go to the 401 to meet
