What is the Language Centre? The Language Centre is the university s department for language learning. Our main goal is to prepare students for educational and employment opportunities within the context of global communication. We provide: language courses with qualified instructors highly specialised language modules offering specialist terminology opportunities to develop intercultural skills Our courses are designed primarily with university students in mind, but we also welcome HNEE alumni, staff and registered auditors to take part. Selecting language modules There are different options: Language modules can be taken as compulsory electives in many study programmes. Select on EMMA+ Language modules can be taken as optional subjects in all study programmes. Select on EMMA+ Language modules can be taken as an auditor (not permitted to take part in examinations). Email the Language Centre Persons external to the university may take part in language courses as a guest auditor.
