  5. Association Leadership Some leadership suggestions: Focus on strategic issues. What is your vision? Manage only what you must, but do it effectively. Scan the horizon and be forward thinking. Be willing to grow and change. Change is inevitable; but growth is optional.

  6. Association Leadership Inspire, motivate, and empower. Encourage creativity and excellence. Promote teamwork and build relationships. Be a great mentor you probably had one.

  7. Association Leadership Earn trust and always be respectful: Listen actively. Value the contributions from everyone. Give appropriate credit to others. Take responsibility. Share information. Be inclusive. Set expectations.
