Summer programs tested the Child Safety Certification App in summer 2019

Reporting of Abuse or Neglect Reporting of Abuse or Neglect All College Employees Have this Obligation All College Employees Have this Obligation If you know or suspect that a child has been abused or neglected or have other concerns about safety, you should immediately inform Wellesley College Police. Wellesley College Police will ensure that a proper report is made to the Massachusetts Dept. of Children and Families (DCF) and to the Town of Wellesley Police Department. Policy links to more information about warning signs of abuse or neglect. Includes: Physical Injury Emotional Injury Sexual Abuse Neglect

Reporting of Abuse or Neglect Reporting of Abuse or Neglect Mandatory Reporters Have Additional Obligations Mandatory Reporters Have Additional Obligations Mandatory reporters under Massachusetts law include: Police officers Health services and counseling center staff Religious life/clergy Early education, preschool, child care staff Required to report suspected abuse or neglect immediately to DCF and file a written report with DCF within 48 hours. Reporting to College administrators does not relieve mandatory reporters of this obligation to report to DCF.
