Senior Years Philosophy The Senior Years environment in the St. James Assiniboia School Division provides a varied curriculum to meet the needs, interests and abilities of students. The program provides a sound basis for further education or immediate employment.
Westwood Collegiate sits on Treaty One territory, the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Ininew, and Dakota peoples, and homeland of the M tis Nation.
Our Vision Statement At Westwood Collegiate, we aim to develop responsible citizens who will demonstrate confidence, curiosity, and creativity. Our Mission Statement Students will value the concept of social justice and recognize its importance for the betterment of an ever-changing world. Students are active learners able to demonstrate a high level of academic, intellectual and social engagement. Student Transportation and Bussing Westwood Collegiate is easily accessible by city transit. All Grade 9 12 students from Headingly are bussed free of charge. Non-resident and non-catchment area students must provide their own transportation to our school.

Option Courses in Grade 9 Students should register for a minimum of 3 Grade 9 option courses. Students typically finish with 8-9 credits at the end of Grade 9, of the 30 credits they are required to graduate from high school.
