  2. Sea Monster Sea Monster And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns and its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. - Rev 13:1-2

  3. What is the sea What is the sea monster (beast)? monster (beast)? It represents evil kingdoms, political powers or pagan nations who persecute God s people.

  4. It will use power and intimidation (13:1-2) How do we recognize them? It will mimic Jesus s supernatural power (13:3-4) Nations become monsters (beast like) through arrogance and blasphemy (13:5-8)

  5. Our allegiance to our country must always be secondary to our allegiance to Jesus

  6. How do we fight the sea monster? It can t be put down by the sword We fight with the Sword of the Spirit (Eph. 6) Patient Endurance This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God s people. (Revelation 13:10) We must declare Jesus is Lord in our lives Who do you worship? Jesus, the slain lamb on the throne!
