Windle Field Master Plan 2007-2010 Total Cost: $3,291,675 Total Cost of Phase 1A and 1B: $487,773
Current W/F Project Timeline: $400,000 Appropriated at Two Town Meetings Solicited bids for Landscape Architect Designers Hired Cooney & Associates, $27k
Timeline: Met with Stakeholders regarding design Inquired with student athletes regarding possible interest in high school tennis team Reviewed potential designs, costs, 4 vs. 3 tennis courts, overlay courts, footprint, fencing and ADA compliance Determine that outdoor basketball courts at other town/school facilities sufficient Settled on 3 tennis courts/4 pickleball courts
Timeline: After initial designs, cost cutting measures and design revisions Reduced from 4 to 3 tennis courts Determined some tasks that school/town could perform Reviewed the industry court construction standards
