  3. Purpose of WISEid Purpose of WISEid WISEid is a secure web application used to maintain basic demographic information about students and staff in schools. WISEid provides identity management across multiple WISE applications through the assignment of a secure, individual identification number. Choice Schools do not report STAFF. Only Public Schools report staff. WISEid can be accessed through WISEhome. More information found on the WISEid: Info, Help and FAQ s page.

  4. Navigating WISEid Navigating WISEid Each menu has an Overview page to summarize menu functions Message Center: View system notifications, review change requests. Manage Person Data: Access a student or staff record, upload person records, review WISEid matches, report duplicate WISEids. Reports: Student download. Resources: WISEid contacts, provide feedback. Need Help: WISEid user guide, site map, WISEid help.

WISEid: Update Contact Information WISEid: Update Contact Information Under Resources Menu: It s very important to update your WISEid contact information at your school at the beginning of the year AND throughout the school year. Used for training opportunities, deadline reminder emails, program updates

WISEid Notifications Inbox WISEid Notifications Inbox Under Message Center Menu: All Notifications come to this Inbox about potential data issues regardless if you have an email notification setup. Recommend reviewing at least weekly - unread say New. Sign up to receive email notifications Message Center /Agency Notifications.

WISEid: Person Search/Edit Screen WISEid: Person Search/Edit Screen Under Manage Person Data Menu: Search for student or staff by WISEid or name, Create WISEid for new student or staff if not found in search, Upload student or staff person files to keep demographic data current, and Add Local Person ID if new to your school.

WISEid: Person Advanced Search WISEid: Person Advanced Search New Advance Search functionality on the Person Search/Edit Screen appears after normal search results: Use when the regular search or vendor Identity integration can t find the person. Only need to populate 2 fields partially to search.

  9. WISEid: Local Person / Entity WISEid: Local Person / Entity WISEid Person Upload screen, upload all staff to: Assign Local Person ID Keep demographic data current The Local Person ID: Generated by your school Attaches student to your school

  10. WISEid: Change Requests WISEid: Change Requests Under Message Center Menu: Some changes take effect immediately (i.e. last name). Some changes require DPI approval (i.e. birth date): The system creates change request. View and add comments on Change Requests screen.
